Ukraine Drones Strike Russian Refineries
Ukraine’s Security Service conducted a major drone operation hitting two refineries in the Samara region and a petroleum export port near St. Petersburg.
Local Russian governors reported fires at the facilities, while Ukraine claimed the strikes also damaged three naval ships in Crimea.
Simultaneously, Russia launched a massive 219-drone assault on Ukraine, causing widespread blackouts and damaging port infrastructure in Odesa.
The escalating 'energy war' comes as Kyiv launches a specialized Russian studies program to better understand its wartime adversary.
