Laos Cave Rescue Underway

Rescuers in Laos have found five gold miners alive inside a flooded cave system after they were trapped for more than a week.

A team of elite divers is now working on a complex and dangerous plan to extract the men through narrow, water-filled passages.

One survivor has already been successfully guided out of the remote mountainous cavern in Xaisomboun province.

Efforts are now focused on providing food and oxygen to the remaining four individuals while divers navigate zero-visibility conditions to reach two others who remain missing.
