Russian Warship Fires Warning Shots at British Yacht

The Russian frigate Admiral Grigorovich fired warning shots at a UK-registered yacht in the English Channel, intensifying maritime tensions between Moscow and the West.

The British couple on board described the incident as 'intimidation,' and the UK military has launched an investigation.

The guided-missile frigate opened fire with small arms in the path of the Bright Future, a sailing yacht with a retired British couple on board.

The couple said they had planned to steer well clear of the Russian vessel and received no warning before the shots were fired.
