WHO Chief Lands in Kinshasa
World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has landed in Kinshasa to lead a high-level mission addressing the Ebola crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
During his visit, Tedros will meet with national health authorities and visit the outbreak's epicenter in the conflict-ridden Ituri province.
He warned that while the outbreak is manageable, only one-third of the required international funding has been secured thus far.
The mission aims to bolster medical supplies and improve contact tracing in regions where armed conflict frequently disrupts humanitarian efforts.
