Hegseth quotes 'Pulp Fiction' prayer
During a Pentagon worship service on Wednesday, Pete Hegseth recited a prayer he called 'CSAR 25:17,' which he suggested was based on the book of Ezekiel.
However, observers quickly noted that the wording almost perfectly matched the fictitious Bible quote used by Samuel L. Jackson's character in the 1994 film 'Pulp Fiction.' The incident has drawn sharp criticism from opponents who accuse Hegseth of using Hollywood dialogue to justify the administration's war efforts.
Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell attempted to clarify that Hegseth was reading from a traditional air rescue group's prayer that happened to use the film's language.
