Comcast Revenue Surges on Sports

NBCUniversal's sports slate provided a massive boost to Comcast's bottom line, generating an additional $2.2 billion in revenue.

Despite this success, the cable giant saw a 35% dip in overall profit as it invested heavily in infrastructure upgrades for its residential broadband business.

Broadband subscriber losses also showed signs of moderating, improving by more than 100,000 year-over-year.

Meanwhile, the Peacock streaming service continues to struggle for profitability, posting a $432 million loss for the quarter.
