Knicks dominate Hawks in Game 1

A stifling defensive performance in the second half proved decisive for the Knicks as they shut down the Hawks' offensive threats.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 19 of his 25 points after halftime, providing the physical presence needed to overcome a physical Atlanta side.

Josh Hart anchored the boards with 14 rebounds, while OG Anunoby made a successful return from an ankle injury to contribute 19 points.

The victory was celebrated by thousands of fans who flooded Seventh Avenue following the final buzzer.
