Caitlin Clark named Indy 500 marshal

WNBA star Caitlin Clark will serve as the grand marshal for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500.

The Indiana Fever rookie, who has become a national sports icon, will deliver the most famous words in motorsports: 'Drivers, start your engines.' Her appearance at the sold-out event highlights her massive crossover appeal and the growing popularity of women's basketball.

Clark joins a prestigious list of previous grand marshals for what is widely considered the largest single-day sporting event in the world.
