Ian Murray
British politician (born 1976)
Ian Murray is a British politician who has served as Minister of State in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport since September 2025, he also served in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology from September 2025 until its abolition in July 2026, having previously served as Secretary of State for Scotland from July 2024 to September 2025. A member of the Labour Party, he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Edinburgh South since 2010. He previously served as Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland from 2015 to 2016 and again from 2020 to 2024.
