Hui Ka Yan is a Chinese convicted criminal and former businessman. Founder of Evergrande Group, he was a high-profile tycoon whose ventures extended from real estate into sports, entertainment, and beverages, until his arrest in 2023 amid the Chinese real estate crisis. In 2026, he pleaded guilty to charges including embezzlement and corporate bribery, and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
