Lori Michelle Chavez-DeRemer is an American politician and businesswoman who served as the United States secretary of labor from 2025 until her resignation in 2026. A member of the Republican Party, Chavez-DeRemer served as the U.S. representative for Oregon's fifth congressional district from 2023 to 2025 and as the mayor of Happy Valley, Oregon from 2011 to 2019.
