Canadian-American ice hockey coach
Jonathan D. Cooper is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach who is the head coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). Cooper's team won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2020 and 2021 and he also reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2015 and 2022 as the Lightning head coach. He is the longest-tenured head coach in the NHL. Following the 2025–26 season, Cooper was awarded the Jack Adams Award, recognizing him as the NHL coach who contributed the most to his team's success during the regular season.
