Iranian diplomat, Minister of Foreign Affairs (born 1962)

Abbas Araghchi is an Iranian diplomat and politician who has served as the foreign minister of Iran since August 2024. Araghchi served for nine years with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during the Iran–Iraq War. He later served as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and as the Iranian ambassador to Finland and to Japan.
