Acting President of Venezuela since 2026
Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez is a Venezuelan lawyer, diplomat, and politician who is currently the acting president of Venezuela since January 2026, after the United States captured then-president Nicolás Maduro and extracted him from the country along with his wife, then-first lady Cilia Flores, de facto removing him from power. She is the first woman in Venezuelan history to perform the duties of the presidency. A member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Rodríguez served as the 24th vice president under Maduro's regime from 2018 to 2026.
