Ford recalling 144,000 F-150s in Canada

Ford Motor Company is recalling approximately 144,000 Ford F-150 vehicles in Canada.

The recall affects 2015-17 model year vehicles equipped with six-speed automatic transmissions.

“On affected vehicles, degradation of the electrical connections in the internal transmission lead frame can cause an intermittent signal from the transmission range sensor,” a Ford spokesperson told CTV News. “This may lead to an unexpected downshift into a lower gear while the vehicle is in motion.”
