French prosecutors have asked judges to sentence former President Nicolas Sarkozy to seven years in prison and fine him 300,000 euros ($330,000).
They allege that the late Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi secretly funded Sarkozy's 2007 presidential campaign.
Sarkozy was sentenced in September 2025 to five years for criminal conspiracy, serving 20 days before being released under supervision.
Prosecutors appealed in March for a longer sentence.
The appeal runs until early June, with a verdict expected November 30.
Sarkozy's lawyer insists he is innocent, denying any Libyan money in his campaign.
Other members of Sarkozy's circle also face charges.
