Russia launched one of its largest aerial assaults on Ukraine overnight Sunday, firing 90 missiles and 600 drones in total, according to Ukrainian officials.
Authorities say the attacks damaged homes, schools and civilian infrastructure across Kyiv, killing at least four people and injuring dozens more.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia used a hypersonic Oreshnik missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
“It’s important that this does not remain without consequences for Russia,” Zelenskyy said following the strikes.
