FIFA leader Infantino starts race for re-election in 2027 in Morocco
The FIFA presidential vote in 2027 that is set to give Gianni Infantino a final four-year term in office will be hosted by Morocco.
It'll be the soccer body’s second straight election meeting in Africa where Infantino has built strong political ties.
Infantino says in Vancouver that the 2030 World Cup co-host Morocco will host the election meeting of FIFA’s 211 member federations in Rabat on March 18.
Infantino is currently expected to be re-elected unopposed.
He's been FIFA president for 10 years already.
His previous re-election was in 2023 in Rwanda.
