Suspect in press gala shooting charged with attempted assassination of Trump
The man suspected of having opened fire at the annual correspondents’ dinner in Washington over the weekend was on Monday charged with the attempted assassination of US President Donald Trump.
The man, who managed to bypass security and fire several shots before he was wrestled down, had brought several weapons with him, including a pump gun and three knives.
