Ukraine seeks face-to-face talks between Zelenskyy and Putin

Kyiv’s top diplomat says Ukraine is pushing for direct talks between President Zelenskyy and Russian President Putin.

A summit is seen as crucial to add fresh momentum to U.S.-led efforts to end Russia’s invasion.

Kyiv has asked Turkey and other countries to host these talks.

Meanwhile, officials say Wednesday that a Ukrainian drone strike in Russia demolished a residential building, killing a woman and a child.

Ukraine has developed long-range drones targeting Russia’s military infrastructure.

The ongoing conflict continues with heavy casualties, and U.S.-mediated talks have stalled as Washington focuses on the Iran war.
