Zelenskyy seeks Putin summit

In a significant diplomatic shift, Ukraine's top diplomat has announced that Kyiv is seeking direct negotiations with the Kremlin to end the ongoing invasion.

President Zelenskyy believes that a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin is the only way to break the current military and diplomatic deadlock.

While previous attempts at mediation have failed, Ukrainian officials hope that Turkey's unique position as a NATO member with ties to Moscow could facilitate a breakthrough.

The Kremlin has yet to officially respond to the proposal, maintaining that any talks must be based on 'new territorial realities.'
