The Pittsburgh Steelers drafted Penn State quarterback Drew Allar in the third round of the NFL draft.
The move gives the Steelers another young arm in their quarterback room.
Allar joins a room that already includes Will Howard, taken in the sixth round last season.
Allar passed for 61 touchdowns in four seasons at Penn State, though his senior year was cut short because of an injury.
The Steelers do not believe drafting Allar will have any impact on four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers.
The 42-year-old Rodgers is weighing to return for a 22nd season after leading the Steelers to the AFC North title in 2025.
