Hezbollah's secretary general Naim Qassem has rejected talks between the Lebanese government and Israel.
Ambassadors from both nations are expected to meet in Washington on Tuesday.
But Qassem says the talks are a pretext to pressure Hezbollah into laying down its weapons.
