Hezbollah Rejects Lebanon-Israel Talks

Internal divisions in Lebanon are deepening as the government prepares for its first direct talks with Israel in decades.

Hezbollah has branded the planned meeting a pretext to pressure the group into disarming and has accused Prime Minister Nawaf Salam of 'treason.' While the Lebanese government maintains the talks will focus on ending Israeli strikes, Hezbollah's rejection threatens the viability of any potential ceasefire.

The standoff comes as Israeli troops continue to encircle key towns in southern Lebanon, further complicating the diplomatic landscape.
