Four Palestinians and one Israeli were killed in a deadly confrontation near the West Bank village of Tal, with Israeli and Palestinian officials offering conflicting accounts of what happened.
Palestinian resident Dr. Omar Ishtaya said, “The settlers attacked the villagers and opened fire, killing four residents and injuring several others.”
While the Israeli military said a Palestinian stole a weapon from local security personnel and opened fire on Israeli civilians.
Israeli forces sealed off the area and set up roadblocks.
