Holocaust survivors from around the world joined thousands of people in the March of the Living.
The yearly memorial at Auschwitz honors the six million Jews killed by Nazi Germany during World War II. There were survivors from Israel who participated in Tuesday's event despite logistical challenges due to airspace restrictions linked to the Iran war.
Revital Yakin Krakovsky, deputy CEO of the International March of the Living, highlighted the rise of anti-Semitism since Oct. 7, 2023.
The march took place on Holocaust Remembrance Day, starting at Auschwitz and ending at Birkenau, drawing thousands, including survivors, students, and leaders.
