Gaza flotilla activists held by Israel

Israel has extended the detention of two activists who were arrested on board a flotilla bound for Gaza, where they intended to deliver humanitarian assistance.

Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish national, and Brazilian, Thiago Avila, were taken to Israel while more than 100 other pro-Palestinian activists on the boats were taken to the Greek island of Crete.

The Israeli navy intercepted their flotilla in international waters last week and a court ruled for the pair to be held for at least six more days.
