A bag-snatcher who stole a designer handbag without realizing it contained a Fabergé egg worth up to $3 million has been sentenced to over two years in prison.

Enzo Conticello took the bag from its owner outside a pub in London’s Soho nightlife district in November 2024.

The bag held a laptop, keys, bank card, makeup, and the egg and accompanying watch, which belonged to the victim’s employer.

Prosecutors say Conticello handed over the bag for drugs.

On Thursday, Judge Kate Livesay sentenced him to 27 months in prison.

Police are still searching for the missing egg and watch.
