Major 7.5 magnitude quake hits off Japan, tsunami warning issued
The tremor had an epicentre in the Pacific Ocean and was 10 kilometres deep, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, with the biggest waves expected in Iwate, Aomori and Hokkaido prefectures.
