Police Officer among three killed in Montreal gun battle

A Montreal police officer, a civilian and the suspected gunman were killed during a daytime shootout in the Côte-des-Neiges neighbourhood on Tuesday.
CTV's Austin Lee reports officers responded after receiving reports of a person with a firearm outside a hotel before exchanging gunfire with the suspect.
A second officer was seriously injured but is expected to recover, while witnesses described hearing up to a dozen gunshots before an emergency alert urged nearby residents to shelter in place.
Police continue searching a separate Montreal neighbourhood to determine whether anyone else was connected to the deadly shooting.
