Special forces soldier charged with making bets on U.S. capture of Maduro

A U.S. special forces soldier involved in the capture of former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has been charged with betting on the operation.
The soldier "bet a total of approximately $33,034" on the operation, federal authorities said.
He ultimately made more than $409,000 as a result of the bets placed, an unsealed indictment alleges.
