Arson attacks target London synagogues
A wave of arson attacks targeting Israeli and Jewish premises in London has prompted a major investigation by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command.
Officers are currently examining whether a shadowy Islamic group with possible ties to the Iranian regime is responsible for the string of blazes.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis have both condemned the 'cowardly' acts, which have caused smoke damage to several synagogues and charity buildings.
The Jewish community has been urged to remain calm but vigilant as security resources are deployed to high-risk areas across the capital.
