Hegseth warns Iran: 'Choose wisely'

In a combative Pentagon briefing, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth made it clear that the current ceasefire is contingent on Tehran's cooperation.

He warned that failure to reach a permanent agreement would result in 'bombs dropping' on Iran's remaining civilian and energy infrastructure.

Hegseth also claimed that the U.S. military has successfully dismantled much of Iran's missile capacity, though intelligence suggests the regime is attempting to salvage launchers from bombed facilities.

The briefing was also notable for Hegseth's sharp criticism of the media, whom he compared to biblical adversaries of Jesus.
