Siddaramaiah Resigns as Karnataka CM

Siddaramaiah has officially resigned as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, marking the end of a nearly five-decade political career.

The move paves the way for DK Shivakumar to take over leadership in accordance with a pre-arranged rotational formula.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot accepted the resignation and dissolved the cabinet, though Siddaramaiah will remain as caretaker until the new government is formed.

The transition follows high-level meetings with Congress leadership in Delhi to finalize the composition of the incoming cabinet and address internal party dynamics.
