Doddalahalli Kempegowda Shivakumar, popularly known as DKS, is an Indian politician and businessman currently serving as the Chief Minister of Karnataka since 31 May 2026. He previously served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka from 20 May 2023 to 28 May 2026. He also holds the portfolios of Water Resources, Bengaluru Development, and Town Planning, and serves as the Bengaluru Urban district in-charge. He is a member of the Indian National Congress and has served as the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee since 2020. He previously served as the party's Working President from 2008 to 2010 and as a cabinet minister in the Government of Karnataka from 2014 to 2019.
