Sanjeev Arora arrested in Punjab

Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of a major money laundering investigation.

The arrest has sparked widespread political unrest, with Aam Aadmi Party supporters launching protests and clashing with BJP workers across the state.

Authorities are investigating allegations of financial irregularities involving approximately Rs 100 crore linked to industrial land allotments.

A local court has remanded Arora to seven days of custody, while the opposition BJP has demanded a full inquiry into the minister's dealings.
