Stepbrother charged in cruise murder

The U.S. Justice Department unmasked Timothy Hudson as the suspect in the death of high school cheerleader Anna Kepner.

Hudson was initially charged as a juvenile, but a judge ordered the case transferred to adult prosecution due to the severity of the crimes.

An indictment alleges that Hudson strangled Kepner while the ship was in international waters en route to Miami.

While he faces potential life imprisonment, he is not eligible for the death penalty because he was a minor at the time of the alleged slaying.
