Ex-Olympian Indicted in Reflecting Pool Case

Former US Olympic canoeist David Hearn was indicted on a felony destruction of property charge for allegedly damaging the liner of the newly renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

US Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced the charges, which President Trump had previously called an act of vandalism.

The indictment comes amid heightened security around Washington’s monuments ahead of the July 4th celebrations.

Hearn has denied the allegations.
