Tadamon massacre suspect arrested
Syrian security forces have reportedly arrested Amjad Yousef, the intelligence officer accused of leading the 2013 Tadamon massacre.
Yousef became the face of the atrocity after leaked video footage showed him and other soldiers executing at least 41 civilians and burning their bodies in a mass grave.
The massacre, which took place in a Damascus suburb, remains one of the most documented war crimes of the Syrian civil war.
Human rights groups have welcomed the arrest as a rare step toward accountability, though they continue to call for a broader international investigation into the regime's actions.
