Trump Ally John Eastman Disbarred

John Eastman, a key architect of the legal plan to have Vice President Mike Pence interfere with the certification of the 2020 election, has officially lost his license to practice law in California.

The state's highest court upheld a lower ruling that found Eastman had violated professional ethics and engaged in conduct involving moral turpitude.

In addition to being stripped of his license, Eastman was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine to the California State Bar.

His legal team has announced plans to seek a review of the decision before the U.S. Supreme Court, contending that the move is politically motivated.
