New Orleans mass shooting plot

Christopher Gillum, a former law enforcement officer from Chapel Hill, was apprehended at a Florida hotel with a handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Federal authorities believe Gillum was plotting a racially motivated attack at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which is scheduled to begin today.

The suspect is currently wanted in Orleans Parish on charges of making terroristic threats.
