Head of OpenAI apologises for failing to alert police ahead of Canada mass shooting
The head of OpenAI – the research company which developed ChatGPT – has apologised for failing to alert the police to a user the company had flagged for her interest in "violent activities", who later went on to kill members of her family before carrying out a mass shooting at a secondary school in Canada.
