Middle East war live: Trump not happy with Iran's latest peace proposal, US official says
US President Donald Trump is unhappy with the latest Iranian proposal on ending the US-Israeli war against Iran, a US official told Reuters.
Iran's latest proposal would reportedly set aside discussion of Iran's nuclear programme until the war is ended and disputes over shipping from the Gulf are resolved.
Washington and Tehran remain locked in a standoff over the critical Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s traded oil and gas passes in peacetime.
