Starmer’s snowflake generation: ‘They just abuse welfare!’ | The Daily T

The Telegraph The Telegraph — 31min

Alan Milburn, the former Labour health secretary, has delivered his landmark report into youth inactivity, revealing that the number of young people not in education or employment is poised to rise by nearly a third to more than 1.25 million over the next five years.

Camilla Tominey and Jacob Rees-Mogg speak to Serge Cefai, the headteacher of St Thomas the Apostle in Peckham, who says that the younger generation is inclined to hide behind mental health “excuses” and try to “game” the welfare system rather than take responsibility and find work.

He also argues that, as well as “cutting the welfare system to the bone”, the Government should consider introducing national service.
