Magnitude 5.9 earthquake injures dozens in Tokyo

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck eastern Japan, injuring more than 30 people in the Tokyo region.

The quake shook buildings and disrupted train services, but no tsunami warning was issued.

Dozens of injuries were reported, with some people hurt by falling objects.

Authorities urged residents to stay alert for aftershocks.
