Swatch launch ends in chaos

Chaos erupted at Swatch stores globally as thousands of people queued for the launch of the limited-edition 'Royal Pop' collaboration with Audemars Piguet.

Several locations, including major stores in London and Milan, were forced to close due to safety concerns and unruly crowds.

Swatch CEO Nick Hayek Jr. defended the launch as 'extraordinary' despite the overcrowding, which saw police called to multiple sites.

The pocket watch, which retails for £335, is already appearing on resale sites for as much as £16,000.
